V-Card Theatre

One of our favourite ladies is back on the scene in a big way! Not only do we have the pleasure of seeing the FAB Leigh Arnold on the small screen each week in RTE's The Clinic, playing every one's FAV acupuncturist, but now we can see her under the hott lights of the stage here in the capital and beyond!

Back in the 90s (wow, back in 90s - can't believe I just wrote that!) a website was created that allowed people to share the real life stories of their first sexual experience anonymously. Naturally, the site created a huge amount of buzz and 70,000 stories soon poured in, all ranging from heartwarming to heartbreaking, adorable to slightly grotesque!

Eventually, writer Ken Davenport spun some of the more entertaining stories and unique personalities into a heartwarming and hysterical stage show.

Gaining the honour of the longest running off-Broadway show and being featured on countless news programs the show, aptly titled 'My First Time', has become a theatrical gem.

Lucky for us this gem has traveled to our shores, and features a bang up cast! Along with Leigh Arnold, Keith Duffy, Claire 'the Tulls' Tully and Alan Shortt, all climb into the roles of various real life people and share the funny and only slightly humiliating stories of their 'First Time'.

As 'your first time' is a milestone event that at some point almost all people - no matter colour or credence - share every person can attach themselves to this show and the characters it features. Starting on October 14th at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin, the production will then tour around the country, showing in the Theatre Royal in Waterford and the Cork Opera House. Under the direction of Michael Scott, who has previously brought us our Leigh in both Trojan Women and The Vagina Monologues, the show is bound to be a hit - between the hysterical content and the eclectic and totally hott talent it features how could it miss?

So go on, grab a ticket now while you still can! We all love a good horrifying sexual tale and there is nothing more GLAM than a night at the Theatre!

Vintage Glam; Kitty Kiernan

Not many pictures remain of the 'Fab' Kitty Kiernan but between the few that do always show her looking highly fashionable for her time...add that to the fact that she was engaged to Michael Collins and that there are bars named for her all over the world (Wexford, Dublin, New York, Austria and Australia to name just a few!) Leads me to believe she was quite the gal... I just recently re-watched Michael Collins starring Liam Neeson and Julia Roberts as Ms. Kiernan and although Julia's performance and accent were brutal her wardrobe for the part was quite fab! Irish Lass Una Healy's works rock hard totally fab bikini bod on a Caribbean holiday with the rest of her band mates in a french cut floral bikini. Maybe we're just playing favourites but we find this way sexier than another Celtic chanteuse's bra-less look earlier in the week....do love her shoes though!

Celagutite Rank 30/6/09 - 6/7/09

Time for some more rankings! Let us begin.... All publicity is good publicity! People were talking this week about the glam and stylish hostess Hayley Rock letting her rack up 1582 points and slipping in to the number FIVE spot! Tall, blond, chic and connected - we've been fans of Miss Rock for a while. Quickly becoming the new International Irish 'It' girl and out shining Nadine Coyle, The Saturday's Una Healy is this week's number FOUR with 2009 points! Jet-setting totally glam Miss Rosanna Davison is at THREE this week with 2989 points, and she still found time for a night out with Mam and Dad to the Bruno premiere! We love this chica!! Glenda Gilson and her ever baffling love life got her the number TWO position, loads of column inches and 3129 points this week! We love ya GG, no matter what! Claire Tully's new official website, her BA-NANAS bod and her always smart, witty and interesting opinions in her column got her 4079 points and this week's number ONE slot! The rest of the countdown came in as follows - SIX the multi-talented AMY HUBERMAN, SEVEN her friend and co-star LEIGH ARNOLD, EIGHT was the adorable Niamh 'Nemo' Walsh, this week's NINE is DIANA DONNELLY and finally at TEN the glam SUZANNE McCABE.

SUPER Celagutite Rank 16/6/09- 29/6/09

Sorry for the delay kiddies, SERIOUS I-T issues had as pulling our hair out these past two weeks but we finally bit the bullet and straightened it all out! Well this is a TWO Week version so lets jump right in!

At FIVE this time we have a new, and sure to be reoccurring entry into the countdown, Diana Donnelly with 7380 points, the new Miss Universe Ireland! Though she got a bit of press leading up to the night as a rumored favourite, in the days after the competition her face and name was everywhere! Congrats on your crown Diane and congrats on being catapulted into the Celagutite Stratosphere!

FOUR, with a just a few more notches at 7425 points and the help of her pet snake is the adorably spunky Emma Quinlan! I have undoubtedly seen Miss Q. in her knickers more than I have glimpsed myself, but with a body like that I say go for it!! Seemingly always up for a party or game for a laugh Emma doesn't need a boa constrictor to garner attention but hey, it doesn't hurt!

This time around 7900 point and in the number THREE position is one my fav's! Leigh Arnold is a gracious, talented and glowing lady and deserves every nice thing that is prnited about her! I think it is safe to say that she is quickly becoming Ireland's sweet hear and Cineál Saoil could not be happier!

Number TWO is super sexy glamazon Rosie! 10, 000 points in 2 weeks, WooHoo! Just within the last month Miss D. really has really seemed to take a big leap outside her comfort zone. She no longer seems like a beauty queen, she is showing us herself! Both with amping up the fashion stakes, keeping us all guessing about her and Wes and even having slightly cheekier sound bytes and quotes in the press, we like this new Rosanna!!

At number ONE with 10,700 points it is Amy Huberman! An 'It' girl, an actress, a fashion inspiration, a philanthropist and all around lovely gal, and now an up and coming author!! - we thinks we'll be calling BOD Mr. Huberman is she keeps all this superwoman stuff up! Congrats Ames!!

Rounding out the top 10 were Laura Toogood, Glenda Gilson, Sara Kavanagh, Pippa O'Connor and Hayley Rock!

Celagutite Rank 8/6/09 - 15/6/09

Welcome to Week Two!

It was sort of a slow Celagutite news week, but we are Ranking just the same! Let's dive right in, shall we;

Moving back just one spot at number FIVE, with 1525 points is the beautiful brainy Laura Toogood! Miss Toogood manages to look splendid in her most recent photo shoot while hitting the books hard! Must be all the running and those FiFlops she told us about! Good job Miss Toogood, always a delight!

With only 50 more points Laura's VBF, Rosanna Davison is at number FOUR with 1575! She stayed much more quite this week after a previous news-filled week but she still managed to get those page inches for being glam, fab an gorgeous! Cheers! In a rather large jump from last week number THREE is the gorgeous and talented Leigh Arnold with 2050 points. Rumors of a split with main man Marcus kept her name high in the news but they were just that - rumors - and the two are totally loved up and fine!

Just ahead of Leigh is her 'Bill' co-star Amy Huberman is number TWO with 3050 points! Her style, her engagement, her upcoming novel - and even a not quite so glam pic of her at a young age in the Herald - all helped her bump up her score this week! Adopted Irish Celagutite Michelle Heaton took a huge leap into the countdown this week and snatched the number ONE spot! With 6625 points - due mainly to her BFF duties as official cry-on shoulder to Katie "Jordan" Andrea-Price Miss Heaton was everywhere but, the revelation that she will now act as a fashion consultant and personal shopper to Dublin elite had some genuine Irish Fashionistas up in arms! Finishing up the Top 10 are as follows; Glenda Gilson dropped to the sixth spot with 1050 but hey - atleast that nasty break up seems to be media forgotten! Followed by Emma Quinlan then, Pippa O'Connor, Michell McGrath and finally "I'm to Sexy for my Beauty pageant" Louise Kavanagh at ten!

...but what if it were?

A country-wide search for TV3’s new Xposé presenter began Friday, 15th May for those schooled in the art of Fabulosity and wanting to rub elbows with and join the ranks of presenters Karen Koster, Glenda Gilson, Lisa Cannon and Aisling O'Loughlin on the daily entertainment, gossip and fashion show.

The search for Lorraine Keane's replacement will be documented over an eight weeks long series of one hour shows that will hit our screens this summer on -shock all shocks :) - TV3!!

It has been reported that thousands of models, 'It' girls and up and coming actresses (CeLaGuTiTeS) have sent in film reels, head shots and resumes for a chance to be judged by publisher Michael O'Doherty, former MTV girl Emma Ledden and PR guru Gerry Lundberg as to whether or not they are up to the task of becoming an Xpose gal!

We will watch all the trials, tribulations and I'm sure cat fights that ensue as the finalists are dwindled to one lucky lady.

I wonder if the news that they will receive only a small 20,000 and a six month contract, as revealed by the Herald on Thursday had dampened any ones excitement?

We doubt it! Flash parties, interesting celebs, glam hair and make up and wardrobe to do die for? The 20k is just an added bonus for most girls'!(and a pretty handsome one at that)

But what if, as it has become so popular, the celeb panel of judges were just figure heads, like Simon, Piers and Michelle Heaton! What if they let us vote, weigh in, pic the Xpose-lady-to-be ourselves...who would you chose? Some one like Glenda with killer looks and celeb connections? Some one cheeky and quick who will ask the out there questions we are all dying to know the answers to? A lady with a bonefide fashion and style background to give honest and open opinions of what celebs wear? Or maybe any old red-head to balance out the two brunette, two blond line up that already exists!

Let us know! Who would you pick? How would you pick 'em?

As for our nominee, well honestly we have too many to count! There are a load of gorge, stylish and smart females roaming this island that we would love to see in those shoes!

But based on the afore mentioned credentials? Lovely, witty, fashion savvy, well connected and a red head? Dawn Fitzgerald springs to mind but we have a feeling she is a tad too busy...does she have a sister?

Anywho, we will see who wins come the broadcast of the final show on Tuesday August 18th...viewing party one?!?! BYO Manolos xxox

You guys honestly have to ask?

Well I am pretty sure the answer is a resounding No.

He is healthy, he is fit, he is a doting father, he is immensely talented and becoming more so everyday and churning out high-quality material!

Acid-washed jeans or not Colin Farrell has NOT lost his Mojo! If he has lost anything it is most likely the stink of day old cider on his breathe, and that is a plus!

It is so refreshing to see pap-snaps of Colin on-set, creating art rather than partying at a night club or faux-snogging Brittany Spears! So lets not question if he is still "one of the world's sexiest men" and rather applaud him for getting healthy and doing Ireland proud as an artist rather than a stereo-type...For what it is worth, we here think Colin is getting sexier with age, maturity and wisdom!

The bad boy Colin might have been fun for a drunken late night snog in the back of a taxi but the new Colin is a real man, and that is the kind of thing you hold on to for more than one night.

Here at Cineál Saoil have a developed a detailed, complete and complex system or rating and ranking our favourite Irish Celags! Each Monday will wipe the slate clean and the scoring and tallying will start a new! If you're not happy with the results, let us know! At number FIVE this week, with 1,780 points, is small-screen darling and bride to be Amy Huberman! Amy is a beautiful, talented and lovely girl in her own right but since she has paired up with the B.O.D. and gotten him to put a ring on it, everyone is dying for a piece of Ames! Number FOUR, with 1,966 points, is the gorgeous Laura Toogood! Brainy, brilliant and beautiful Ms. Toogood makes news everywhere she goes and each time she flashes that gorge smile. This week especially that smile made headlines! :-D Coming in at THREE, with 2,350 points, is everyone's favourtie blonde haired bright eyed pixie Pippa O'Connor! Pippa, along with some of out other favourite ladies, ran the Dublin Mini this week along with the usual Celag appearances to garner points! Close at number TWO with 2400 points is the alwasys Gorge Glenda Gilson. Ms. Gilson also did the Flora marathon in aid of the Lorraine Keating foundation, attended the launch of Club NV, attended to her usual Xposure duties as well as, well - lets just say she made news! There is no such thing as publicity girl! And at number ONE,with a CrAzY 5,555 points ofcourse, is Queen Rosanna! She was in Cannes, she was in Monte Carlo, she was in Milan shooting a calendar, she took an official step outside Wesanna and was confirmed as a co-host for next month's Miss Universe Ireland paegent! Yeay Rosie! Rounding out the TOP TEN were the beautiful Leigh Arnold, the fabulous Lauren Bannon, the Glam Claudine Palmer, the spunky Hayley Ryan and the always gorge Alley Garvey!!

NV Envy - Spotted Out

Don't be sad if you couldn't make to the Club NV launch last night! Don't get us wrong, a great time was had by all but, we are here to fill you and supply you with pics, so that you'll feel just as though you were there!

The evening kicked off at 8.30pm and went on late into the night (or early into the morning depending upon how you look at it!) with the venue opening up to the public after 11pm. Hors d'oeuvres and champers abound will highly skilled Mixologist, Tomas Dudek. Tomas' signature cocktails-designed and created specially for NV’s VIPs- stand heads and tails above any other cocktail menu in the capital if you ask me!

Duncan James from Blue was gorge, as expected and super personable and friendly. He posed for endless pictures with hordes of ladies, chatted to loads of guests, and seemed to legit enjoy himself - without become a drunken mess - a nice change from a lot of the BritCelebs that fly in to do appearances at these types of things.

The venue itself is super Luxe. I personally preferred the 'Circle Lounge' over the 'Cell Bar'. Not only do you get a great view of what is going on through out the club, the lightening is glam and will make any lady look her absolute best! Although Leigh Arnold and Laura Toogood both regrettably had to back out of attending the launch last minute ( very missed ladies!) their were throngs of Dublin's Superfoxes looking totally chic and OOC! Are hat goes off to stunning Ms. Avril Kelly! The golden-blond Assets gem proved once again that she has oodles of personal style last night and this totally chic ensemble;

Ms. Kelley, pictured here with equally gorge girly-friend Ciara Bailey, clued me on on how she pulled this glam look together saying; "The skirt is actually from Pennys, I had seen something similar much more expensive so when i saw the cheap one in Pennys I was delighted!! The top is Matthew Williamson for H&M and the shoes are Barrets from bout a year ago!" Beautiful, fashionable and conscientious in the credit crunch! LOVES IT! Don't know 'bout you kiddies, but a lady that can piece together an outfit in her head, straight out of her own wardrobe, is the definition of Fabulosity! It means you have a real bone-fide style and fashion flair of your own! We were lovin' her hair, makeup, outfit and always sunny demeanor! Spotted at the even were Steven Manion, Niav Walsh, Asling O'Brien, John O'Meara, Siobhan Kavanagh and Emma Leddens, who was able to come after a very busy day in which we hear shes been tapped as "one of the 3 judges for the new Total Xposure show on TV3, alongside Gerry Ljungberg and Michael O Doherty" a beautiful blond little birdy told us!

But Avril was not alone in looking glam. Scroll down for snaps of the night, loads of party people having a hell of a time, thanks to the wonderful staff of this new hotspot, the always lovely Ms. Caitriona O'Connor for a OOT Launch!

Celag-Couple Showdown

They may have all been been chummin' together at Krystal this weekend past but only one (or er, two I guess) can be tops!

Who is the reignining Celagutite Couple of Ireland in your eyes? With so many to chose from and hot new couples emerging every day it is impossible to chose!

Last weekend saw a varied group of models, celebs and WAGs arm-in-arm with their fellas' all looking super fine, but only one can rule!

Is at new Mummy and Ultimate WAG Caludine Palmer and her 'baller hubster Robbie Keane? Perhaps it is Westlife alums Shane and Kian with their foxy other halves Gillian Filan and Jodi Albert respectively...? Maybe you prefer adopted Irish Celeb Michelle Heaton and her hunky Celtic beau Hugh?

Or the rising Celag, that seems to be just about everywhere, Collette McBarron (being uncharacteristically camera shy above!) and her chilled-out BF Zac Jordan?

And yea, what is the deal with Wesanna? Will they throw their hats back into the ring for title Premiere Irish-Photo call twosome? Various social-networking sites seem to suggest the remain and item, but lack of public appearances suggest they aren't! Maybe the two are just having a laugh at all of us speculating over all the "are they/aren't they" buzz! Sly kiddies! Very Wills&Kate of ya! Perhaps they really are taking a step back from their relationship and the media storm that loves to surround it, we may never know!

Maybe it is sugary sweet adorable couple Pippa O'Connor and Brian Ormond? We can't answer these questions alone folks!
